Solo performer Trevor Allen once worked at Disneyland. He thought it would be heaven, but he soon learned otherwise. "Welcome to Mauschwitz," says one costumed colleague. Working for the Mouse, the one-man show that Allen has been tinkering with for years, is an expanded take on "Character!," which won Best of the Fringe Festival way back in 1996. When you've been touched by the Mouse, apparently, you never quite get over it. Allen wanted to be Peter Pan, but he started as the dopey dog Pluto and worked his way up to the Mad Hatter. It was a fitting trajectory. The experience—the sex, drugs and rampant disgruntlement of the employees—nearly drove him off the deep end. Now he lives to tell about it.
